Position at the trust: Health & Wellbeing Officer

After completing a degree in Sport and Exercise Science at Sheffield Hallam University Emma went on to work for Rotherham Council and Sheffield International venues as a community sports coach.  She then moved over to Activity Sheffield, spending 10 years with the organisation.  Emma covered a variety of roles including Community Sports Coach, Sports Development Officer, Older Peoples Development Officer, Exercise Referral Officer, and finally Team Leader for The Miracle Cure, Workforce Wellness and Walking projects.  Emma spent a year working for Run England as the regional officer for community running, and for the past 6 years she has been working as a Tutor for British Athletics.  Emma spent the last year as Student recruitment Officer for YMCA Whiterose before joining us at RUCST.          

Emma is excited to bring her skills and experience in sport, health and wellbeing to the Trust.  She will be heading up the Health and Wellbeing team, working with children, young people, adults and older adults to improve the health and wellbeing of Rotherham’s communities.  Emma is a keen runner so if you see her out and about don’t forget to say hi!
