Rotherham United would like to congratulate the eight intrepid cyclists that completed the Football to Amsterdam bike ride in aid of Prostate Cancer UK at the weekend.

Andrew Hossack, Ben Shepherd, Jon Cornforth, Liam Wright, Melvyn Gwynne, Paul Truin, Richard Wright and Ryan Senior set out on the epic journey from Barnsley’s Oakwell Stadium on Friday morning, alongside riders from a whole host of other English clubs.

Their first day took them to Hull, where they boarded the overnight ferry to the Netherlands to complete the second and final leg of the epic journey, before they triumphantly pulled into their final destination at Ajax's Amsterdam ArenA.

As this article is published, the team have raised an incredible £9,797.00 in Rotherham United’s name but you can still donate to the cause here.

Everyone at Rotherham United would like to thank and congratulate the team of riders for their terrific fundraising efforts.
