Lead Recruitment Analyst

Reports to Head of Recruitment

EXTERNAL: Preferred suppliers, Service Partners and Opposition Clubs and Scouting Contacts

Location You will be expected to undertake travel as is necessary to fulfil your job requirements

Hours This is a full-time role requiring flexibility to work some evenings, weekends and on occasions, travel to away matches.

Contract Permanent

Remuneration Salary as per contract
Auto-enrolment into the Club’s pension scheme (depending on eligibility)
Job Purpose To ensure performance analysis needs of the player recruitment process are met.

Roles and Responsibilities

To co-ordinate fixtures for domestic scouts
To monitor players on loan, and young players in the domestic and European leagues
To conduct background research into potential players of interest across domestic and European leagues
To provide videos of players of interest for key staff – full games and clipped footage
To attend matches and produce detailed reports
To continually update the scouts recommended lists
To ensure an in-depth level of due diligence is undertaken on all recommended players
To assist in the creation of player dossiers
To objectively record information from scouts on player performances and distribute to key staff
To assist the First Team Performance Analysts on home match days
To ensure a consistency of analysis though out all levels of the club
To keep abreast of all new technology and methodology related to recruitment and video analysis.
To help manage and maintain all department equipment.
To undertake any departmental and/or club CPD.
Any other duties as defined from time to time in conjunction with the Head of Recruitment
Person Specification


Related Undergraduate Sports Science degree
Coaching experience/qualifications – desirable
Skills, Knowledge & Experience

A high level of football knowledge (domestic leagues in particular)
Experience of performance or recruitment analysis in a professional football club
A good knowledge and experience of using Sportscode software
IT skills to include video-editing and a high level of competence using Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Experience of filming football matches
Database management experience
Creative presentation skills / experience
Highly experienced user of ISF/Scout7, Wyscout, Instat etc
