Rotherham-born referee passes away...
Rotherham United are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of local referee and former club stalwart John Key.
John, who was born in Rotherham, enjoyed a distinguished career as a referee which saw him officiate at the highest level of the game.
After retiring his whistle, John returned to his hometown, where he took up an important role at Rotherham United which would see him meet, greet and take care of officials on matchdays at Millmoor.
He was a well-liked and respected figure at the club and everyone at Rotherham United would like to pass on their heartfelt condolences to John’s friends and family at this time.
