Rotherham United sign defender Ben Purrington from Plymouth Argyle...Rotherham United have completed the signing of defender Ben Purrington from Plymouth Argyle for an undisclosed fee, subject to EFL and FA ratification.
The left-back has agreed a three-and-a-half year deal with the Millers after completing the formalities on a contract and passing a medical this afternoon.
The 20-year-old has been in sparkling form for high-flying Plymouth this season, helping them into the automatic promotion places in League Two.
The Exeter-born ace is making his first move away from Home Park after coming through the Argyle youth set-up.
He broke into the first-team at the back end of the 2013/14 season, before going on to make 14 appearances for the Pilgrims that term and has been a regular operator in the Home Park-club’s defence this season.
Whilst his primary position is at left back, Purrington has also deputised in central midfield in the first team on the South Coast.
The 20-year-old will wear the number 30 shirt for Rotherham United.
