Paul Warne talks to www.themillers.co.uk...

Interim manager Paul Warne says he is targeting two additions to his squad before tonight’s 11pm transfer deadline.

The Millers are in action this evening against Nottingham Forest, but Warne remains confident that more signings can be made to his squad following yesterday’s double arrival of Semi Ajayi and Ben Purrington.

Whilst Warne will shortly switch his full attention to final preparations for tonight’s game, he revealed that he is hopeful in adding two more new faces as he bids to further bolster his ranks before the deadline.

“All the staff have been in all day, we have made numerous phone calls as you can imagine,” Warne told www.themillers.co.uk

“I think we have couple of options, and I am hopeful of adding a couple of bodies before the 11pm deadline.

"Things are looking promising but as I have seen over the past few weeks, things can sometimes do a 360. With any luck the two main targets that I have today will be done by the close of play.”

Warne takes his side to the City Ground this evening looking to bounce back from Saturday’s defeat to Barnsley.

Midfielder Tom Adeyemi looks set to return to the squad following an illness, whilst defender Richard Wood will be fit after a knock at the weekend.

Despite the distraction of deadline day, Warne is now fully focused on the trip to Nottingham, hoping to hear positive news before the window closes tonight.

"It is a weird day because I am trying to prepare for the Forest game but we have all this going on, so it is a little strange,” he added.

“I am sort of enjoying it, but I'll enjoy it a lot more if we can get some bodies through the door.

"We have covered all the bases, spoke to all the people we want to speak to and got the targets in sight so to speak. Hopefully by the time I get to the Forest ground tonight I'll have a phone call saying they have come through which will be pleasing for me."
