Shaun Cummings signs for the Millers...

Rotherham United have completed the signing of full-back Shaun Cummings, subject to EFL and FA ratification.

The former Millwall defender has been training with the Millers over recent weeks, and has now agreed a one-year deal with the club.

The Jamaican international was part of the Millwall side that earned promotion from League One to The Championship last season, making 23 appearances in all competitions.

The Hammersmith-born right-back made started his career with Chelsea, enjoying loan spells with MK Dons and West Brom, during his early years at Stamford Bridge.

The 28-year-old signed for Reading in 2009, and after two years learning his trade as an understudy, he made his regular first-team breakthrough in the 2011/12 season.

He made 36 appearances in all competitions as Reading won The Championship title in 2012, and he would go on to play Premier League football for the Royals.

After six years at the Madjeski Stadium he joined Millwall in 2015, and featured in last season’s play-off semi-final success over Scunthorpe United.
