Rotherham United have extended the partnership with KCM Recycling which will see the Millers’ club partner continue to sponsor the Academy for the 2017/18 season.

KCM Recycling have been a long-term partner of the club, which includes a number of other key sponsorships. The Rotherham-based company currently sponsor the North Stand and home team dugout at the AESSEAL New York Stadium as well as the club’s Academy setup.

Rotherham United’s head of commercial Mark Hitchens was thrilled to further extend the current deal, which will be key in helping the Academy staff develop the next generation of home grown talent.

“I have personally enjoyed a long-standing relationship with Phil Hickling and his staff for a number of years, and gives me great pleasure to confirm KCM’s association with the club’s Academy will continue into this season.

“We have already seen a sprinkling of the next generation against Manchester City this season, and for Garreth and his team to keep producing home grown talent, the backing of local companies like KCM are crucial as look to maximise our ever developing Academy structure.”

Phil Hickling, Managing Director at KCM, was also delighted to remain as Academy sponsor, taking his association into a second year.

“We have really enjoyed working with Rotherham United over the years, and we are proud to have the KCM name once again linked with the club’s flourishing Academy system.

“I know the under 18s had a fantastic year last season, which resulted in the likes of Ben Wiles earning a professional deal with the club.

“When local players come through the ranks it fills me, as a local man and supporter myself, with great pride that KCM have played a part in their pathway to the first-team. Long may that continue.”
