Rotherham United are set to play their 2000th home league game as they host Fulham at AESSEAL New York Stadium in the Sky Bet Championship this afternoon.

Our eagle eyed historian Garry Bray has been working over the stats of the Millers’ league games, as well as carefully dissecting the figures from the era which saw the Club play under their previous guise as Rotherham County.

The combined total of that history means that today’s clash against the Cottagers will be the 2000th time that the club have played a league fixture on home soil, with this landmark closely following Rotherham United/County’s 4000th league game, which took place at Loftus Road on 18th March.

The figures collated exclude the original Rotherham Town's results (1893 to 1896) as this Club folded at the end of their third league season with a new Rotherham Town club formed in August 1899.

The records include Rotherham County's six seasons in the league before amalgamation with the second Rotherham Town club in May 1925 to become Rotherham United.

Excludes all expunged results for clubs leaving the league during a season
