Paul Warne talks to Millers Player HD...

There won't be a shortage of familiar faces for boss Paul Warne when Ipswich make the visit to AESSEAL New York Stadium this weekend.

The Tractor Boys arrive for the Millers' penultimate home game of the season tomorrow with a host of connections to the club, both on the playing and coaching staff.

The current Ipswich fitness coach is Warne's former team mate at Rotherham and Oldham, Andy Liddell. The ex-Barnsley winger also teamed up with the current Millers boss in a caretaker capacity in 2011, whilst Ipswich also include two ex-loanees in Grant Ward and Tom Lawrence.

"I am obviously very close to Lidds, I still speak to him quite a lot," Warne confirmed to Millers Player HD.

"I have a lot of time for Grant Ward, and Tom Lawrence is another one of their players who has done really well here. It is always nice to see old faces and people who have connections to this club. I have more friends at Ipswich probably than most other clubs."

Mick McCarthy's side have secured their status in The Championship for next season after some impressive results in recent weeks.

After beating Burton at the Pirelli Stadium, McCarthy inspired his side to terrific 3-1 success over promotion-chasing Newcastle United on Easter Monday.

Warne hailed the job undertaken by the ex-Sunderland and Wolves boss, as he gets set to welcome his current side tomorrow afternoon.

"I have always had a lot of time for Mick McCarthy," Warne added.

"He is true Yorkshireman, he is honest - he doesn't pull any punches. His teams are tough, but always have athleticism, and that is what I am expecting this weekend.

"It has been a hard season for them, but I am expecting them to come here, especially after the Newcastle result, have no pressure on them and they'll come and try to enjoy the game."
