READ | Volunteers get VIP treatment in Random Act of Kindness

21 September 2016

Rotherham United were delighted to surprise a host of volunteers with tickets for the recent game with Nottingham Forest as part of the club’s Random Act of Kindness scheme.

The Rotherham United Community Sports Trust are currently putting the finishing touches to their new offices here at AESSEAL New York Stadium, and they couldn’t have completed the move without the help of a host of volunteers.

Head of Community Jamie Noble surprised a number of volunteers from ACL Limited with a special upgrade into the plush surroundings of the AESSEAL New York hospitality lounges for the home game with Forest.

ACL have played a major role in helping to install the ceilings at the new Community offices, and Jamie was delighted to show his appreciation for all their hard work.

“Many of the volunteers were Rotherham supporters, and regularly attend games, so we thought we would give them a nice surprise for all their hard work,” he told www.themillers.co.uk

“This project could not have been completed without the help of many people – including many volunteers who gave up their time for free.

“We were delighted to offer this package as gesture of our appreciation to ACL and we hope they had a great night watching the Millers.”

If you know someone who would be deserving of a special visit from one of our players and staff on a matchday email jnoble@rotherhamunited.net with your suggestion and contact details, and we will look to include them in our matchday experience.
