Millers tie up sponsorship deal for youngsters...Rotherham United are delighted to announce that KCM Recycling will become the Academy’s official sponsor for the 2016/17 season.
Garreth Barker’s Millers youngsters will sport the KCM logo on their shirts throughout the present season, whilst their page on the club’s official website and matchday programme will be also display their branding.
Head of Commercial Mark Hitchens was delighted to seal the deal that sees the club build on its existing relationship with Phil Hickling, who currently sponsors the North Stand at AESSEAL New York Stadium, and believes his backing will be hugely beneficial to the next generation of Millers talent.
“Phil and the people at KCM Recycling have been hugely supportive of the club in recent years and I am very proud to have them on board as the official Academy sponsor,” he told www.themillers.co.uk.
“Their backing will ensure we continue to produce a conveyer belt of talent as we have done in previous years, with no fewer than seven of the club’s Academy players signing professional terms in the last two seasons.”
Phil Hickling, Managing Director at KCM, was equally thrilled to have completed the deal and admits he is looking forward to working alongside the club’s future stars.
“We have enjoyed a fantastic relationship with Rotherham United and this deal will see us build on that,” he explained.
“I know how much effort these youngsters put in to achieve the ultimate goal of graduating to the first-team setup and hopefully our backing will give them every chance of doing that.
“The success of the Academy in recent years in producing players has been well-documented and it would be great for us and the club if we could continue in the same vein this season."
