Tom Adeyemi talks to www.themillers.co.uk...
Rotherham United midfielder Tom Adeyemi insists he is ‘raring to go’ again in the Sky Bet Championship having sat out of the club’s last two league fixtures through injury. The on loan Cardiff City man was withdrawn after an impressive first half display against Brentford at AESSEAL New York Stadium on debut after picking up a thigh injury but says he is looking forward to giving his all for the cause on his imminent return which could come as soon as Wednesday night's clash with Nottingham Forest.
“It’s never nice being injured especially with it happening on my debut it was particularly disappointing. Now I’m back training and I’m raring to again,” he told www.themillers.co.uk.
“I felt like I did alright and it was nice to be out there playing. I’m probably a little way off my best due to the lack of involvement I’ve had in training but I’ll always give it 100% and give it my all and that’s what I’ll be trying to do next time I play.”
The 24-year-old joined the Millers until the end of the season prior to the close of the summer transfer window and believes he has seen enough in Alan Stubbs’ squad to be confident that they can now kick on in the second tier.
“We feel like we’ve got the players that can help us be competitive in the league and while it’s always going to be difficult there’s no reason that we can’t,” Adeyemi explained.
“As players it’s probably a good thing to know that this is the squad that we’re working with and give us a chance to build that togetherness.
“I’ve only been here a matter of weeks but I feel like I’ve settled in really well and they’re a great group of lads to get on with and I’m really pleased to be here."
