Alan Stubbs talks to Millers Player HD...

Rotherham United manager Alan Stubbs has confirmed that midfielder Tom Adeyemi has resumed full training today following thigh problem.

Adeyemi was forced off at half-time during his debut against Brentford, after picking up an injury which ruled him out of the South Yorkshire derby with Barnsley.

But having had a fortnight to step up his rehabilitation due to the international break, the Cardiff loanee is back in full contact training as he bids for a return for the visit of Bristol City this weekend.

“Tom Adeyemi will all being well resume training today, which is a boost,” Stubbs confirmed to Millers Player HD.

“The squad is starting to look the healthiest it has been since I have been here if I am honest.

“It has been a bit stop/start. We have not yet had the continuity of playing what I consider our strongest team.”

Despite having his debut cut short, Adeyemi impressed in the Millers engine room as he looks for regular Championship football following his switch from South Wales.

The former Norwich and Birmingham operator looks set for a key role under Stubbs, and will be hoping to get back as soon as possible into what is a competitive area of the Millers’ side.

Meanwhile, Stubbs confirmed that despite plenty of good news on the injury front, defender Aïmen Belaïd has picked up a knock in a behind closed doors friendly, adding:

“Unfortunately Aïmen has had a setback in the game which is disappointing for Aïmen and ourselves, but we will take care of that.”
