Rotherham United’s Academy clash with Notts County in the Youth Alliance League was abandoned on Saturday due to a serious injury sustained by one of the Millers’ youngsters.
38 minutes of the game had elapsed when Revarnelle James sustained a leg break before both teams, in correspondence with the match officials, agreed that due to the seriousness of the injury the game could not continue.
Academy manager Garreth Barker would like to place on record his thanks to Notts County for their help on the day and their understanding, as well as the medical staff from both clubs and emergency responder that attended to treat the player.
Rotherham United would like to wish Rev well on his road to recovery.
