The September nominations for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month Award are:

Tammy Abraham (Bristol City) – striker
The 19-year-old is showing maturity beyond his years with a positional sense and ability to sniff out a chance that are innate. Quick on the turn and a breath of fresh air in the Championship with another four goals in five September games.

Shane Duffy (Brighton & Hove Albion) – central defender
Followed up a horrific month at Blackburn Rovers with an outstanding one at Brighton, making a valuable contribution to four clean sheets in five games. Strong in the tackle, dominant aerially, he also impressed with his distribution.

Scott Hogan (Brentford) - striker
Now restored to full fitness, the 24-year-old is beginning to realise the potential that was evident at Rochdale. His movement and intelligence are exceptional and underpinned his six goals in five games, including a hat-trick against Preston North End.

Jacob Murphy (Norwich City) - winger
Finally given his chance at Carrow Road after loan spells at six different clubs, the 21-year-old has blossomed this season. An inventive livewire always prepared to take players on, he contributed four goals in five September games.

ALL WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON FRIDAY OCTOBER 7 2016

The judging panel comprises Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman; League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery.
