Rotherham United Community Sports Trust is delighted to announce that Lee Frecklington has been named as this season’s National Citizen Service (NCS) Ambassador. Lee Frecklington is one of 40 players across the country to have pledged support for the NCS programme. Back of the Net!
Rotherham United is at the heart of the community and Lee Frecklington is a well-known name in Rotherham and so will play an integral role in helping raise awareness of NCS and engage with the wider community.
Lee Frecklington will work alongside Rotherham Community Trust by visiting school assemblies, engaging with young people on NCS programmes, and celebrating the amazing work young people achieve whilst taking part in NCS.
Lee Frecklington “I’m really proud to be chosen as NCS Ambassador for Rotherham United CST. NCS is a brilliant programme! It gives young people the chance to experience a variety of challenges while building new friendships and undertaking projects that help the local community. I’m looking forward to getting involved in NCS this season and meeting the inspirational young people on the programme. I understand that last year they raised over 11,000 for 19 local charities and I can’t wait to see if they can’t beat it in 2017”.
Carole Foster, NCS Project Manager said “We are delighted to have Lee as the NCS Ambassador, he is a credit to both the club and the trust. Lee has always gone above and beyond in support of Rotherham United Community sports trust and we are honoured he’s able to support us”
NCS takes place across Rotherham with Rotherham United Community Sports Trust this spring and summer and is open to all 15-17 year olds for £50. For more information visit www.ncsefltrust.co.uk.
