Tom Adeyemi talks to www.themillers.co.uk...

Returning Rotherham United midfielder Tom Adeyemi has targeted the remaining six weeks of 2016 to get the Millers firmly moving in the right direction.

Leeds United are the visitors this weekend as Kenny Jackett’s side head towards the fixture packed festive period looking to turn around their Championship fortunes.

Adeyemi, a former Leeds player, was restored to the starting 11 last weekend after a six-week injury lay-off, and the Cardiff City loanee is now targeting valuable points as the Millers look to make ground on the sides above them.

"We need to start winning, we know that,” he told www.themillers.co.uk

“There are plenty of games coming up at the back end of this month and into December, that means that there is plenty of opportunity for us to go on a run - and a run of victories is the only thing that will get us back into contention. That is the aim and that is what we are looking to do starting Saturday.

"It is a massive game, but at this moment in time every game is huge because of the position that we are in. There is extra significance because it is a Yorkshire derby against Leeds, they are a massive club , there will be a large following so it is guaranteed to be a good atmosphere with the home fans in full voice too.

"It is a big game, it is one that we are really looking forward to and more importantly we believe that we can get the three points.”

The Sky cameras are in town to add some extra spice to what traditionally has been an electric Yorkshire derby.

With a worldwide audience looking on the 25-year-old stressed it is the perfect opportunity for the Millers to kick start their season again.

“For all the players this is a real chance to give a good account of ourselves when you are in the limelight,” he added.

"It is nice to be in front of the cameras. My family haven't had chance to come to a game yet so they will be able to watch it on TV so it is always good to know that people will be watching.”
