Rotherham United were delighted to show their support to Voluntary Action Rotherham’s annual Christmas Toy Appeal at Parkgate Shopping on Monday 14th November.
The Millers were represented at the event by Chairman Tony Stewart and first team players Anthony Forde and Stephen Kelly, who were introduced to the crowd before signing autographs and posing for photos with those in attendance.
The event, which was hosted by Rother FM, saw the Millers join forces with long term club partners Parkgate Shopping as fans young and old had photos taken with the Millers’ Chairman, Stephen and Anthony.
The Toy Appeal, which surpassed it’s 10th year in 2015, passes on donated gifts to Children’s Services which are the distributed to indentified families in time for Christmas.
Choirs of children from local schools provided further entertainment to the crowds of supporters who braved the weather to help back the popular appeal.

“Christmas is a time for giving and it was wonderful to see so many of our local community turn out to support the event, which we were proud to be a part of."
