Parkgate Shopping announced as back of shirt sponsor...

Rotherham United are proud to announce that they will continue their partnership with Parkgate Shopping, who have signed a deal to become the sponsor on the back of the club’s new home shirt.

The Millers will continue their long-standing affiliation with the local retail park with a renewed deal which will see the revamped Parkgate Shopping logo appear on the reverse of the new home shirt.

Parkgate, who have recently been purchased by BMO Real Estate Partners, have signed a further deal with the Millers which will ensure their logo remains proudly emblazoned on the home strip in the 2016/17 season.

Commercial Director Steve Coakley was thrilled to have completed the deal and expressed his delight at the ongoing partnership with one of the town’s landmark venues.

"We're thrilled that the new owners of Parkgate Shopping, BMO Real Estate Partners, have bought straight into the community essence of both the long-standing partnership with the Football Club but the Town as a whole,” he beamed.

"It was way back in 1987 that Parkgate first appeared on the front of our first team kits so during the 2016/2017 Sky Bet Championship campaign we can celebrate 30 years of working together.

“Make no mistake, this kind of relationship is such a rarity in today's society, 20 out of the last 29 years we've proudly displayed the Parkgate branding on the front of our shirts and we're delighted that we have the opportunity to continue this, albeit on the reverse of our home shirts, for at least a further season. It is fantastic news for everyone."

Carolyn Sparshott of BMO Real Estate Partners was equally pleased to see the relationship between the two parties extended for the 2016/17 campaign.

"As the new owners, we are thrilled to be continuing the long established partnership between Parkgate Shopping and Rotherham United Football Club into next season"

BMO Real Estate Partners, who recently took over as owners of Parkgate are an entrepreneurial, institutionally-partnered force in commercial property and manages a global portfolio worth £6.6bn on behalf of a wide range of individuals, professional investors, property trusts and institutional clients.
