Rotherham United midfielder Grant Ward has been presented with the club's Goal of the Season award for his stunning solo effort against Burnley.

Goals including Matt Derbyshire's deft touch and lob at Bristol City and Joe Mattock's thunderous effort against Brentford were also nominated but guests on the night elected the young Spurs loanee's striker as the winner following an interactive vote.

The Spurs loanee introduced himself to the Millers faithful with a number of impressive strikes in pre-season at Stocksbridge Park Steels and Parkgate but scored his first league goal for the club in emphatic style as he found the top corner from range in front of the Sky cameras against the now-promoted Sean Dyche's men.

This meant Grant was called to the stage for a second time to collect the trophy, having already received the Young Player of the Year award.
