Millers duo volunteer at local Food Bank

10 March 2016

Joe Mattock and Lewis Buxton visited Rotherham Food Bank...

Rotherham United duo Joe Mattock and Lewis Buxton recently joined forces with Rotherham Food Bank to help prepare packages for clients in the borough.

The Millers pair got involved at Hope Centre on Grove Road by sorting through various donated items to prepare emergency food packages for people in the area in need.

Here at Rotherham United we understand the influence that our players can have in the local community and work hard to use their profile to help local charities and causes.

Rotherham Food Bank receives donations from local schools, churches, businesses and individuals of non-perishable items before the food is sorted and stored.

Care professionals including the police, doctors, health visitors and social workers identify people in need of the help of the Food Bank and issue vouchers accordingly.

You can follow in the footsteps of Mattock and Buxton by helping the Rotherham Food Bank by donating food, money or volunteering your services and full details are available here
