The feel-good factor around the AESSEAL New York Stadium is one that is currently running throughout the club, with the Millers Academy also recording back-to-back wins.

A solitary Ben Wiles goal helped Garreth Barker’s youngsters to a 1-0 win over Notts County before a Kuda Muskwe double added to a Darnelle Bailey-King strike saw the Academy complete a stunning comeback as they hosted Mansfield Town last weekend.

The youngsters’ back-to-back success almost mirrors the recent triumphs over the first team who sealed a third consecutive Sky Bet Championship victory as they saw off Premier League hopefuls Middlesbrough.

Academy boss Barker has been delighted with his side in recent weeks and hopes they can continue in a similar vein with spirits high at Rotherham United.

“It’s a great time to be involved for everyone here. The first team have been superb in recent weeks and the Academy players see that and want to emulate their success,” he told www.themillers.co.uk.

“We have been very happy with how things have gone in recent weeks in the Academy and we want that to carry this momentum forward now.”
