Rotherham United Community Sports Trusts NCS department are holding their fifth and final Keep Warm activity ahead of this summers NCS programme. The “Big Chill” will take place at Thrybergh Country Park on Saturday 11th June, 12pm – 3pm.
Over 250 NCS participants are expected to attend and the event will give them an opportunity to ‘chill out’ with their peers and get to know one another before embarking on their best summer yet with NCS. Participants will take part in an array of activities including a Gladiator inflatable ‘it’s a knock out’, lawn games such as Giant Jenga, Giant Connect 4 and Archery as well as give participants the chance to relax (in the sun fingers crossed) whilst watching live acoustic performances from local artists. There will also be a BBQ and refreshments for everyone attending to enjoy and staff will be able to build a rapport over a burger with all our summer participants.
Ruth Dobson, NCS Project Officer said of the event “We’re really looking forward to The Big Chill! There’s so much going on and it should be a fantastic day with a real festival feel to it. We’ve run four Keep Warm thus far for our separate summer waves and this will be the first one that we’ve invited everyone to at the same time so it should be pretty hectic but in the best of ways! ”
