Rotherham United have added a trip to Scunthorpe United to their pre-season itinerary as part of Alan Stubbs’ preparations for his side ahead of the 2016/17 Sky Bet Championship campaign.
The Millers have confirmed details on their clash with the Iron and will travel to Glanford Park on Tuesday 26th July for a 7:30pm kick off.
The last time the two sides did battle in a competitive fixture was 17th February 2009 when Scuthorpe recorded a 1-0 win in the second leg of the Northern Area Final of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy, courtesy of a Gary Hooper goal at Don Valley.
Rotherham United’s last trip to Glanford Park was the first leg of that game which saw them defeated 2-0, but supporters that have followed the Millers’ reserves will have visited as recently as last season.
The Millers confirmed pre-season schedule to date:
Saturday 9th July Parkgate (A) 12pm
Wednesday 20th July Grimsby (A) 7.30pm
Saturday 23rd July Sunderland (H) 3pm
Tuesday 26th July Scunthorpe (A) 7:30pm
