Rotherham United will host Premier League Sunderland in a friendly at AESSEAL New York Stadium.
The Millers will host the Black Cats on Saturday 23rd July, kick off 3pm.
The friendly is the first major pre-season announcement as new manager, and former Sunderland defender, Alan Stubbs looks to rubber stamp his preparations for the 2016/17 season.
Ticket prices are yet to be confirmed for this fixture. An announcement of when tickets go on sale will follow in due course.
