Anthony Forde talks to www.themillers.co.uk...

Rotherham United’s newest addition Anthony Forde has hailed the training headquarters at Hotel Remes as he looks to settle into life with the Millers.

The winger, who joined the club for an undisclosed fee from Walsall, has been taking advantage of the excellent facilities in Poland, as he looks to get himself ready for the start of the upcoming Sky Bet Championship season.

After featuring during Tuesday’s 2-1 victory over Miedz Legnica, Forde is satisfied with the progress made so far, insisting that the tour has been a good opportunity to get to know his new team mates.

“It has been good for me as a new signing to meet all the boys and get to know them a bit better,” he told www.themillers.co.uk

“It is good to get away to new surroundings, spend some time with the lads and also continue to work hard in time for the start of the season.

“Poland is very nice, the facilities are very good and so far it has been a very beneficial experience.

“There is plenty here for the lads. There is a big games room which is keeping everyone entertained in between training and the friendlies. We have access to the pool and gym too, so it has been really positive for everyone.”

Forde, who started his career with Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League, won’t have to long to wait until he meets his former club.

The Millers start their 2016/17 Championship campaign against Wolves at AESSEAL New York Stadium on August 6th.

Before then, there are friendlies against Sunderland and Scunthorpe United as boss Alan Stubbs looks ahead to his first campaign with the Millers.
