Alan Stubbs talks to www.themillers.co.uk....

Rotherham United started the first of two sessions this morning as they come to the conclusion of their pre-season tour of Poland.

The Milers were back out on the grass at their training headquarters at Hotel Remes this morning before returning to the UK this evening to continue their pre-season preparations.

Manager Alan Stubbs, alongside his staff John Doolan, Andy Holden, Paul Warne and Andy Dibble were all out on the training ground, with another session planned this afternoon ahead of their departure from Opalenica.

“We have split it in half today so those that needed a bit more in terms of minutes, they have done a separate session,” Stubbs told www.themillers.co.uk

“They have played in a bigger area, they have worked with John (Doolan), and the lads who have done a bit more have done some shorter and sharper stuff with me.

“It has been good, it was probably what they needed and we are coming into the last day now, we have done session one so there is now just some unit work this afternoon.”

Looking back over the week, Stubbs admitted that it has has been beneficial, not just for the work on the training ground, but also in getting to know a lot more about his squad.

“It has been good,” Stubbs added.

“The lads have all got on well, we have got to know each other a little bit more which is always great. The two games have been beneficial in terms of what we have wanted to get out of them, so overall it has been a good week and we are looking forward now to getting the lads back into even more competitive games.”

The Millers take on Sunderland on Saturday for their fourth game of pre-season.
