Alan Stubbs talks to www.themillers.co.uk

Rotherham United are set to mix up their side again for today’s second pre-season friendly against Meidz Legnica.

The Millers are stepping up preparations for their first game of the pre-season tour of Poland, kick off 6pm Polish time.

With a second friendly on the horizon against Gornik Zabrze on Friday, boss Alan Stubbs confirmed that he is set to mix up his side again with first-team players, trialists and members of the development squad.

“We’ll look to try and increase the minutes into the players,” Stubbs told www.themillers.co.uk

“We will try and get 60 minutes into quite a few of them. Then we will look to flip it on Friday and try and get 60 minutes into those who haven’t.

“We will do some team shape and go through some set pieces as well while we have chance with the weather being dry.”

Stubbs, who behind the scenes continues to work on adding to his squad, watched over day two of training during the pre-season tour at the Hotel Remes training headquarters.

The Millers take on Legnica on the same site, with Stubbs expecting a tough test against an experienced side from the second tier of Polish football.

“I don’t know too much about them but what I do know is that it will be a step up in class compared to what we have played in our first game,” he added.

“From that point of view we know that it will be a stronger side that we will be facing tonight, and then on Friday I think that it will be stronger again.”
