Alan Stubbs talks to www.themillers.co.uk...

Rotherham United manager Alan Stubbs has not ruled out the possibility of adding to his touring party during the pre-season Poland training camp.

The Millers boss has confirmed that he is getting closer to making his second signing, and hasn’t ruled out the possibility of adding to his squad at Opalenica before Friday’s game with Gornik Zabrze.

Stubbs, who made Anthony Forde his first signing prior to coming out to Poland, has been patient in the transfer market as he looks to add quality to boost his side ahead of the big kick off next month.

“I think we are getting closer now, which is a positive,” Stubbs told www.themillers.co.uk

“It is like everything, sometimes you think you are close and then you get news that it is not. That is the way it can go sometimes, so I am never happy until I actually physically see him in the flesh and know that he has actually signed.

“We know how things can go nowadays, but we are definitely getting closer to adding.”

When asked whether any potential new recruits could be added to play in Friday’s friendly should deals get over the line, Stubbs responded by saying:

“I think that is fair to say. That option is in place should anything materialise, so you never know you might see one or maybe two in time for Friday.”

The Millers take on Miedz Legnica tomorrow, kick off 6pm Polish time.
