Neil Redfearn talks to www.themillers.co.uk...

Rotherham United manager Neil Redfearn says that his side will always view the next game as the biggest ahead of Saturday’s showdown with Charlton Athletic.

The Millers host the Addicks at AESSEAL New York Stadium with both sides looking to capitalise on the majority of the division missing out on Championship action due to the FA Cup.

With the Millers looking to move further clear of the bottom three, and Charlton looking to close the gap on those above, it promises to be an intriguing afternoon in South Yorkshire.

Boss Redfearn revealed that he hasn't looked any further than Saturday's encounter, using the mindset that the next game is always the biggest.

“All our games from now until the end of season are big games,” Redfearn told www.themillers.co.uk

“Some will be viewed from the outside as bigger than the next but I have to say that our next game is always going to be our biggest. That is how we should look at it.

“Saturday against Charlton is our next game so that is therefore our biggest game. We want to try and get maximum points out of it and then we move onto Bolton and that then becomes our biggest game.

“I have been consistent in saying that all the way along, but I really do believe that it is how we should look at it.

“If you try and get the best out of every game that you are in, the chances are that you will win more than you will lose.

"The fans have a huge role to play, not just this Saturday, but for the rest of the season. Having a really strong home support can be the difference between winning and losing."

The Millers picked up a useful point on the road last time out after a 2-2 draw with play-off chasing Cardiff City, whilst the Addicks also recorded a point after a 1-1 draw at home to Blackburn Rovers.

Tickets remain on sale now for the home fixture with Charlton, whilst the Red and White Shop are continuing with the New Year sale of 30% off all replica kit.
