Rotherham United will support NCS Day on Saturday...

Rotherham United are delighted to be supporting National Citizen Service Day on Saturday as they host Birmingham City in the Sky Bet Championship.

A host of committed members of Rotherham United’s Community Sports Trust staff and volunteers will be on hand to sign up new members and welcome a number of young people who have already graduated from the fastest youth movement since the Scouts with over 200,000 16-17 year olds graduating from the programme across the country.

The Millers first team squad will also don National Citizen Service t-shirts in the warm-up prior to Saturday’s game with the Blues to mark the club’s NCS official matchday.

The NCS scheme, which supports a host of local charities including The Lighthouse Homeless Shelter, Bluebell Wood and Sheffield Hospital Baby Care Unit, offers youngsters between 15 and 17 years-old the chance to “make lasting friendships, embrace the outdoors and learn the skills they don’t teach in class.”

Rotherham United’s Community Sports Trust raised in excess of £15,000 last year and anyone interested in signing up can Text NCSFLT to 60777 (repeat) or see the NCS staff located pitch side at half time, you can’t miss them in the bright pink and blue jumpers.
