Lloyd Doyley signs for Rotherham United...
Rotherham United have signed former Watford defender Lloyd Doyley on a deal until the end of the season, subject to Football League and FA ratification.
The versatile operator featured for the Millers in a reserve game at Roundwood on Wednesday, after training with the club in recent weeks.
The vastly experienced defender has spent his entire career to date with Watford, ending a 14-year stay in 2015.
“Lloyd is a player that knows the league well and he comes in to help us at a difficult time with a lot of games coming up,” boss Neil Warnock told www.themillers.co.uk
“It was important when the opportunity arose to sign them to get them on board.
“I had Lloyd with me training at QPR and I wanted to sign him then until the end of the season, so I am delighted to be able to do that here.
“If you ask anybody about Lloyd they will tell you that he is a really good pro. He played over 500 games for Watford. You can put him anywhere across the back and he will give 100%."
Doyley made his international debut for Jamaica in 2013 and has nine caps to his name.
In 2006 he played 50 times in all competitions as he helped Watford to the Premier League after a play-off final victory over Leeds United.
He was awarded a testimonial at Vicarage Road in 2012.
