Neil Warnock talks to Millers Player...

Manager Neil Warnock is expecting defensive duo Kirk Broadfoot and Richard Wood to be available for tomorrow’s showdown with Brentford.

Both put their body on the line during Tuesday’s defeat to Reading, leaving the field at full-time with cuts to their head in what turned into a bruising encounter for the Millers’ pair.

After a successful return to the first-team for Wood, he seamlessly slotted back into the defence alongside Broadfoot after serving a one match ban.

With a short turnaround before tomorrow’s home clash with Brentford there was some concern whether the duo would be available for the visit of The Bees.

But Warnock confirmed that he expects to have the option of using the pair tomorrow, despite revealing that Broadfoot had been missing from training.

“Broady hasn’t trained for a couple of days,” the Millers boss told Millers Player.

“He has had one or two knocks but I would be very surprised if he wasn’t fit.

“He is one those types who want to play and Woody (Richard Wood) is the same.

“We’ll have to see about those two but I think that they will be both okay.”

Lloyd Doyley missed the trip to Berkshire on Tuesday night after making his debut for the Millers in the defeat against Burnley at Turf Moor.

Warnock confirmed that the former Watford stalwart will remain sidelined for Saturday, but expects to have him available again shortly.

“He’ll not be right for this one,” said Warnock.

“He’ll not be long. It was just a small stretch really, that’s all.

“We have had so many players that have been out for so long when you look at the squad so it is not surprising that one or two are going to pick little injuries up.

“We have so few games left we just have to persevere now.”
