Random Act of Kindness versus Wigan Athletic...

Rotherham United were delighted to hand one young supporter the opportunity to enjoy a mascot package at our recent game with Wigan Athletic, as part of our Random Act of Kindness scheme.

Harry was attending the game in the stands when members of the club’s Community Sports Trust selected him at random from the crowd to join the Millers’ warm-up, before he led the teams out for the Boxing Day clash at AESSEAL New York Stadium.

He was also given the opportunity to meet first team striker Jonson Clarke-Harris, who posed for a photo pitchside with the young supporter, before he donned the famous red and white for a kickabout on the pitch.

Rotherham United's Head of Community Jamie Noble was delighted to spread the festive cheer with the Random Act on Boxing Day and has been pleased with how the scheme has gone as we approach the New Year.

"It was great to see the look on Harry's face when he was told he was going to be mascot for the day," he told www.themillers.co.uk.

"Our young supporters are the future of the football club and we aim to make it as enjoyable an experience as possible for them at AESSEAL New York Stadium.

"We are delighted with how the Random Act of Kindness scheme has gone throughout 2016 and are hoping it s just as successful as we move into the New Year."

We hope you enjoyed the day Harry!
