Alan Stubbs talks to www.themillers.co.uk...

New Rotherham United signing Scott Allan will be a creative force for his new club, according to his boss Alan Stubbs.

The Millers swooped for the former Scottish under 21 international on a loan deal until the end of the season from Scottish giants Celtic.

The midfielder completed his medical this morning before meeting his new team mates at the Millers' training headquarters at Roundwood.

Current boss Stubbs previously worked with the Glasgow-born playmaker at Hibernian, and expressed his delight at adding more creativity to his impressive looking midfield.

"I have worked with Scott previously at Hibs and I know that he has got a lot of quality," Stubbs told www.themillers.co.uk

"He is a very technical player he has got really good vision.

"He is always looking to create all the time and that is something that we have wanted to add to the squad."

Allan began his career with Dundee United before earning his big break in England with West Bromwich Albion.

Opportunities were limited during his time at The Hawthorns, but he resurrected his career with an impressive stay at Hibernian under the tutelage of Stubbs.

After moving to Celtic, Allan is again looking for first-team opportunities with Stubbs insisting that he will be a player that will excite the supporters.

"Scott can play as a number 10 as well, he is intelligent enough to play that role and I am sure that the fans will be excited about what he can bring to the club," he added.

"He had a good move to Celtic, but unfortunately he hasn't played the amount of games that he has wanted but as a result of that we have been able to capture his services.

"I know that he is really looking forward to coming to Rotherham and hopefully hitting the ground running.

"Scott knows how I work and I know what makes him tick. We have got a very good relationship, and I am sure that played a big part in his decision to come to Rotherham.

"I know he had a lot of options available to him, but we are just pleased that he has chosen Rotherham and I am looking forward to working with him again."
