Garreth Barker’s young Millers side were beaten in their first Youth Alliance Cup game following a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Morecambe.
The Millers travelled to the North West in search of a place in the next round but couldn’t overturn the Shrimps, who had recently defeated the senior team in the EFL Cup at AESSEAL New York Stadium.
