Alan Stubbs speaks to www.themillers.co.uk...

Rotherham United manager Alan Stubbs says that new signing Tom Adeyemi will provide the Millers with an added physical presence after competing a deal to take the Cardiff man on loan until the end of the season.

Stubbs made the former Norwich ace his 11th signing as he continues to add to his squad before the August transfer deadline.

Adeyemi, who had a successful loan stint with Leeds United last season, has agreed a deal until June 9th, and will join up with his team mates for the first time tomorrow morning.

“It’s come about quickly and it’s someone that we’ve looked at over the last few weeks,” Stubbs told Millers Player HD.

“He’s a big powerful player and he’s very good at winning the ball back and breaking things up. He’s got real good energy and athleticism in that midfield area and we feel as if it’s something that will certainly add to the team.

“We’re delighted that Tom has agreed to come and join us and we’re looking forward to seeing him in a Rotherham jersey.

“He is a very athletic, powerful player and he’s dominant in terms of winning the ball back. He gives us a physical aspect in that midfield area which is important but also he can play, so that’s the most important thing and he provides even more competition for places in midfield.”

Adeyemi started his career with Norwich, making 17 appearances during his time at Carrow Road, whilst also enjoying loan spells with the likes of Bradford City, Oldham Athletic and Brentford.

He joined Birmingham City in 2013 before moving to Cardiff City in 2014, enjoying a loan spell at Elland Road last season.
