Rotherham United are set to welcome a team of intrepid walkers to AESSEAL New York Stadium on their adventure to raise funds for the Walking with Holly campaign.

This April will see an endurance walk taking place in memory of Holly Price who sadly, in 2013, at 4 years of age, lost her battle with cancer.

In her name, and in support of Holly’s Dad Gareth, a team of walkers will tackle a punishing challenge which will see them walking for 2 days non-stop.

The walk begins at Candlelighters in Leeds on 22nd April at 3pm and traverses across the region via a few sporting stadia, eventually finishing at Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice in Huddersfield. Stops along the way include Headingley Stadium, Leeds United, Sheffield Wednesday, Featherstone Rovers, Huddersfield Giants and many many more including Rotherham United’s AESSEAL New York Stadium.

The Millers are set to welcome the walkers at 7:26am on Saturday 23rd April and have already donated a football signed by the first team to aid their fundraising efforts.

There will be time for a pitchside photo on their stop-off before embarking on the rest of their gruelling journey for charity.
