Congratulations to Rotherham United Community Sports Trust who received the Community Club of the Year Award for the North East and Yorkshire region.

Head of Community Jamie Noble was on hand at the recent Football League Awards to receive the prize, following another successful year off the field at Rotherham United.

The Millers scooped the prize for the North East and Yorkshire area with the likes of Burnley and Burton Albion amongst the winners of the other regional awards, but it was Charlton Athletic who claimed the coveted title of Johnstone’s Paint Community Club of the Year.

Jamie was delighted to have once again been in the shake-up for the national award and was keen to pass on his congratulations to his counterparts at the Addicks.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have been nominated for the Community Club of the Year award again,” he explained.

“The staff have worked tirelessly in the past year and this nomination is testament to the hard work and commitment of a number of individuals.

“I would also like to congratulate Charlton on winning the main prize. The good work that they have done in the Greenwich community is plain for all to see and they have made such a positive impact."
