Grant Ward speaks to www.themillers.co.uk...

On loan Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Grant Ward is determined to extend Rotherham United’s impressive unbeaten run until the end of the 2015/16 Sky Bet Championship campaign.

Neil Warnock’s side have not tasted defeat in any of their last 10 outings in the league and the energetic Spurs loanee is keen to ensure that record is preserved until the curtain comes down on the current season.

“We just want to carry on the run until the end of the season and whatever happens elsewhere is going to happen. We just want to win the games that we’ve got,” Ward told www.themillers.co.uk.

“We’ve gone 10 games unbeaten now so everyone is confident. It’s a good camp to be a part of at the minute and everyone is happy.”

The 21-year-old, who enjoyed temporary switches to Chicago Fire and Coventry City prior to his arrival at AESSEAL New York Stadium, admits he would like to finish the season on a high after a season of mixed fortunes with the Millers.

“We’ve had a bit of an up and down season overall so it will be nice to end it on a high if we can secure our position in the Championship,” Ward explained.

“I’ve enjoyed it here so far. I’ve had a good experience here and I’ve learned things that will stand me in good stead for the rest of my career.”

The Millers travel to Molineux on Saturday to face Wolverhampton Wanderers where recent history between the two teams suggests the fixture promises goals and the Lewisham-born midfielder is expecting a tough test in the Midlands.

“I don’t know if it will be as high-scoring as I’m told it was last season, but we know we’re in for a tough game against a good team,” Ward added.

“We’ll have to make sure we’re at our best and we’re switched on and hopefully we can get a result."
