The Millers host the Clarets...

The Rotherham United Academy have been drawn at home to Burnley the Youth Alliance Cup.

The Millers take on the Clarets in the first round of the competition back at their Academy base on Saturday 3rd October.

“We have got Burnley in the Youth Alliance Cup which will be a great test,” Academy Manager Garreth Barker told www.themillers.co.uk

“We are at home back at SHU (Sheffield Hallam University), and the pitch is in great condition up there at the moment so it is a game that we are really looking forward to. They have a fantastic Academy at Burnley; they are going for Category 2 status, so we know that we will be in for a tough game.”

The Academy are in league action this weekend looking for their first win of the campaign against Grimsby Town at the first-team training base at Roundwood. The match kicks off at 11am.
