The September nominations for the Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month Award are:
Steve Clarke (Reading)
A month that began with a rousing 5-1 victory at home to Ipswich Town ended with convincing away triumphs at Bristol City and Burnley for three wins in four games as Clarke’s style brought impressive consistency to his side.
Paul Clement (Derby County)
Made light work of an awkward-looking September fixture list as he led his team to 10 points from four unbeaten games. The organisation and work ethic he has instilled earned away wins at Preston North End, Reading and MK Dons.
Chris Hughton (Brighton & Hove Albion)
Maintained his side’s new-found status as leaders of the Sky Bet Championship by overseeing a haul of eight points from four unbeaten games. His calm demeanour on the touchline has been transmitted to his players as expectancy mounts.
Aitor Karanka (Middlesbrough)
Masterminded a perfect month on Teesside as Boro affirmed their pre-season status as promotion favourites by winning all four games, with a 10-2 goal differential. They did so with the flair that swept them to a 3-0 victory over Leeds United.
ALL WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON FRIDAY OCTOBER 9 2015
The judging panel comprises former Ipswich Town manager George Burley, Sky Sports’ Football League expert Don Goodman; Football League Chief Operating Officer Andy Williamson; League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery
