Lee Camp talks to www.themillers.co.uk...

AHEAD of their hosting of high-flying Reading on Tuesday night, Northern Ireland international Lee Camp has called on his Millers side to use the ‘AESSEAL New York Stadium factor’ to their advantage as they look to claim the eye-catching scalp of Steve Clarke’s men.

The visit of the Berkshire outfit will bring back fond memories for Rotherham’s ’Red and White’ army as Matt Derbyshire and Lee Frecklington goals helped the Millers secure Championship survival in the last home game of last season’s campaign, which saw jubilant scenes in the aftermath of the game amongst the home faithful.

Speaking exclusively to www.themillers.co.uk ahead of Tuesday night’s clash with the divisional front-runners, the 31-year-old ‘keeper insists his side must make home advantage count once again.

“Being at home we need to be on the front foot and start the game nice and positive,” he stated.

“I’m sure it will be a great atmosphere under the lights and it’s important we give a good account of ourselves.”

Following a disappointing campaign last season, Reading have made a superb start to their Championship challenge this time around as they look well-placed to mount a promotion challenge and Camp is wary of the threat they pose his side.

“Reading have done fantastically well this season,” Camp warned.

“They’ve got a good manager in Steve Clarke and he organises his sides' well.

“They’ve got good players, who played in the Premier League not so long ago and I’m sure they will be there and thereabouts.

“They are in great form at the moment and I’m sure they will be looking to bounce back to the Premier League this season.”
