Rotherham United Community Sports Trust are proud to announce we will be continuing to deliver the Female Football Development programme for a third year after a very successful 2 years! Years 1 & 2 saw over 600 new Women & Girls aged between 14 and 25 participate in football in our local community.
We run basic football sessions after school which are delivered predominately by female coaches to help the girls feel relaxed and to help them relate to the coaches better.
Once the sessions are over we look to signpost the girls to various different organisations, we use our strong links with Rotherham Ladies and BWGFC, we also try to help the girls who find football isn’t for them other sports clubs they can join and try out.
We hope to go above and beyond by giving Women & Girls the opportunity to join us at tournaments and soccercise sessions as well as the regular after schools clubs which worked so well last year.
