The iPro stadium is one of the biggest grounds in the Sky Bet Championship, boasting a capacity of 33,500 and Derby County have made it a fortress as of late.

The atmosphere is always lively at the stadium, with the away fans getting a great view of the action.

Parking:
There is a fair amount of parking at the Velodrome, which is right next to the away end, with the price being £8 per car or £6 if you have four passengers. The Cattle Market car park could be a better option, with it being £3, however it’s a 15 minute walk to the ground that passes a number of fast food options.

Pubs:
Opposite the station is the Merry Windows, which tends to be a favourite of the away fans. However, the Brunswick or Alexandra Hotel, are also great options that serve real ale and good food. Again these can get quite busy and there are bouncers on the door to prevent any trouble.

The Navigation Inn is away from the station, and is only a 10 minute walk to the ground, with free street parking outside the ground. The bar has a selection of beers and ales, along with a basic lunch menu, home fans also use this pub.

Amenities:
A pie and a cup of tea will cost you £5.90, whilst a match day programme will set you back a further £3.

Final verdict:
With Derby set to challenge for promotion this year, it could be the last chance for a Millers fan to visit the ground for a while.

With the iPro being one of the biggest grounds in the Sky Bet Championship, along with one of the most modern, it’s worth making the short trip down the M1.
