Garreth Barker talks to

Rotherham United’s Academy will be looking to build on their recent good form by making it three straight victories against York City tomorrow.

The Millers take on the Minstermen at Roundwood for an 11am kick off, as Garreth Barker’s side look to carry on their recent impressive form after back-to-back victories over Grimsby Town and Burnley.

The victory over Burnley in the Youth Alliance Cup was particularly impressive as the youngsters start to find their feet after a tough opening to the campaign.

“The lads are in good form and this is a game that everyone is looking forward to,” Academy Manager Garreth Barker told

“We have had a couple of terrific results and performances to match. We would welcome any extra support that may come our way; it is good for the development of the players to play in front of a crowd.”

Meanwhile, the Millers have been drawn away at Carlisle United in the next round of the Youth Alliance Cup. The match will take place on Saturday 31st October, 12 noon kick off.
