The Millers stay unbeaten...

Rotherham United’s Academy made it three games unbeaten after a 2-2 draw with York City.

After impressive victories over Grimsby Town and Burnley, the Millers kept their impressive form up after an entertaining score draw with the Minstermen.

It could have been much better for the Millers who recovered from going a goal down before taking a 2-1 lead before the break. Garreth Barker’s side had a host of chances to finish the game but York grabbed an equaliser in the second half to earn a share of the spoils.

“It was a very entertaining game which was end-to-end at times,” said Head of Academy Coaching Matt Hamshaw.

“We had numerous chances so from that respect we are a little disappointed not to win the game if I am honest. There were a lot of pleasing aspects to our performance, and we successfully delivered on what we worked on during training in the week.”

Team: Fidler; Bailey (Atherton 70), Saxton, Peace-McDonald, Smalley, Bailey-King, Conneh (Abraham 55), Potts, Redmayne (Martin 75), Wiles, Muskwe.

Subs not used: Osborne, Martini.
