AESSEAL New York Stadium set for country's brightest stars....

The stage is set at AESSEAL New York Stadium for England Under 17’s international showdown with Germany which will take place in front of the BT Sport cameras on Friday evening.

A young Three Lions’ side will take lock horns with the Germans in Rotherham under the Friday night lights at 7:45pm as they look to establish themselves on the international scene.

The future England aces need look no further than The Millers’ on loan starlet Brandon Barker who had previously appeared for his nation at AESSEAL New York Stadium, before making his bow for the Millers in South Yorkshire against Ipswich Town.

Barker, who was representing the Under 19’s at the time, recalls his international showing in Rotherham well and hopes the AESSEAL New York Stadium crowd produce a similar atmosphere to the one he experienced this Friday night.

“I remember the Germany game. It was a great win for the team” Barker explained.

“I didn’t have the best of games but the most important thing was that we got the result which was really good.

Playing at Rotherham was really good. It’s a fantastic stadium with a great atmosphere. I hope the U17s get the same feeling that we had when they play there.”

Barker, who has represented his country across a number of age groups, believes that games like the one scheduled in South Yorkshire on Friday have helped his career and is hoping that he can continue to develop during his loan spell in England’s second tier.

Progressing through the England teams is a great thing to achieve,” he adds.

“Every call-up always means something and the next one is the Under-21s. Hopefully now I’m out on loan at the Championship I will be able to show people what I can do. Either way I’ll keep working hard and keep pushing for it.”

Tickets for the clash at the Millers’ home are still available to purchase ahead of tonight's game and are priced at £3 for adults and £1.50 for concessions.
