Head Groundsman Dave Fellowes is continuing his work on the AESSEAL New York Stadium pitch with phase two of repair work now well underway.
Work started yesterday morning on getting the playing surface ready for the 2015-16 season and today the ground staff began the process of top dressing.
“We’re putting down around 60 tonnes of sand now which gives the seed a bed to grow in, and it also fills in any imitations or divots in the pitch,” Dave told www.themillers.co.uk
“Everything will be finished by tonight, it is a two day process but we were delayed at the start of the week by the rain. So far everything is going to plan; I am pleased with progress, barring the odd shower we have had minimal disruption.”
